EVERY DETAIL.
While living in South Korea for two years, Koen Verelst ran a hair-related business serving an international clientele. It was there that he discovered the Korean styling tool brand Glampalm.
In January 2013, Koen introduced the brand to Australia. He and Eunha Choi worked with salons and customers as the brand’s local distributors in Australia and New Zealand. Their business was sold in May 2024 after more than a decade.
In July 2024, Koen and Eunha launched Stellar as a separate, Australian-owned styling tool brand.
Koen brings a background in product engineering, while Eunha brings the perspective of a professional hairstylist. Together, they connect technical understanding with the everyday experience of using a styling tool.
Years of working closely with hairdressers and their clients taught them what matters: the weight and balance in your hand, the choice of temperature and the support available when you need it.
That experience guides their work with specialist engineering and manufacturing teams, helping shape the features, function and feel of Stellar’s tools.

The first Omnia concept began with a sketch on a paper napkin in an Australian café.
Inspired by European design, that idea developed into a styler shaped around the way you hold, move and use it.
